Mr. Frederick has considerable expertise in the small business assistance industry with a focus on preparing business plans, management assessments, loan packaging, marketing plans, market research, contract bid preparation, financial statements, setting up accounting systems, and conducting investment feasibility studies for start-ups and existing businesses.
Mr. Frederick has more than twenty years of experience assisting small businesses. He has worked for the Michigan Small Business Technology Business Development Center, and The Detroit Entrepreneurship Institute as a senior business consultant and business lecturer.
As an adjunct professor with Davenport University, Mr. Frederick teaches an accelerated Small Business Management course designed to introduce students to the fundamental knowledge of starting and operating a business.
Under Mr. Frederick’s corporate experience, he has worked for such major organizations as General Motors, Detroit Edison, American Natural Resources, and New Detroit, Inc. His corporate experience has given him expertise in the areas of cost analysis, price analysis, construction budgeting, financial forecasting, income statement analysis, financial feasibility studies, and strategic financial analysis.
In his capacity as Director of Economic Development for New Detroit, Inc., Mr. Frederick had the responsibility of developing financing and procurement programs for minority businesses, as well as appropriating funds to organizations for economic development.
