IBM CEO advises Obama team on investing in IT infrastructure

Samuel Palmisano, the chief executive officer of IBM, advised the incoming Barack Obama administration that investing $30 billion in IT infrastructure could create more than 900,000 jobs in the U.S. Palmisano recommended upgrading the electrical grid, increasing broadband access and computerizing health care records.
