Non-profit groups chosen to manage Victoria social housing sites

VICTORIA — B.C. Housing and Social Development Minister Rich Coleman says non-profit organizations have been selected to manage three Victoria social housing sites.
Coleman says the sites will provide 99 housing units.
He says the move is part of work to break the cycle of homelessness in B.C.
The selection of the non-profit societies was the result of several expression-of-interest calls for proposals issued earlier this year.

Pernod Ricard posts 1 percent net profit growth

French wine and spirits company Pernod Ricard said Thursday net profit rose 1 percent in the year through June, as growing sales in emerging markets of premium brands such as Chivas Regal whisky and Mumm champagne was offset by charges related to its acquisition of Sweden's Vin &Spirit.
