Stock Market Recovers

Some relief came the way of investors last week after eight months of losses, pains and anxiety following the persistent fall in share prices in the Nigerian stock market.

Chevron Corp. announced Wednesday that it has donated $500,000 to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection to help support the cost of battling the state's severe wildfires this year.

High Country Beverage, 5706 Wright Drive, is raising funds for St. Jude Children’s Hospital, a pediatric treatment and research facility that helps children with catastrophic diseases.

My Thoughts: Following Jesus into the marketplace

Why is a church buying a mall? Aren't churches only supposed to get souls saved?
Many Christians have criticized the increasing evil in our world, yet do nothing to help change it. We have erroneously thought that the church's mission must be confined to a building and that the marketplace (business, education and government) should be avoided at all costs.
